Equity One Financial was formed to create an alternative to high priced Mortgage Banks and the interest rates they pass along to the consumer. Traditionally, Mortgage Banks and even smaller Broker shops create a “Retail” philosophy of increases to the rates available that they sell to their customers. The industry of mortgage interest rates by design offer a vast array of variables to the rate in which the lender can pass along to the consumer. Typically, a 1/8% to a ¼% rate difference drastically differs to the lender in potential rebates as compensation.
Most “Retail” priced organizations increase the cost to the consumer in points or “rebate points”, by three to five times over the par rate. The Par Rate is the rate in which it neither costs the lender to obtain, nor pays a rebate for that rate. A rebate is compensation to the lender potentially included in the actual rate the customer chooses.
We have created a “wholesale priced” platform for the consumer that typically beats the interest rates offered by most lenders by a minimum of a 1/4% TO 1/2% and even as much as ¾%.
This value in dollars represents thousands or potentially tens of thousands of dollars in savings to the borrower.
This savings can be used by the borrower for monthly obligations or to accelerate the payoff of the loan. In other words, you can pay off the loan early by using the savings as a monthly principal reduction.

This represented in some cases four or five IRRRL (Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan), and up to tens of thousands of dollars in savings over term loan amortizations (the life of the loan).
